Friday I got MGS4. :D Probably won't play it until monday though. :'(
Also found some cheap figures (Guy from Final Fight/Street Fighter!) in Aki. Today we're headed to Nakano Broadway, which has a number of ultra-geeky otaku shops. I think it might be better than Akihabara in that regard, but it comes off as kind of a "dirt-mall."
Went hunting for two comics and had a difficult time finding them. For some reason, I was told to go down to the basement to get them. If you've ever been to a big comic shop in Tokyo, "the basement" usually means hentai section. So we go down there and my wife is freaking out...sure enough, they have the comics there. Neither one is adult in nature, and other stuff from the same publisher is on another floor. These are originally from Korea, so my conspiracy theory is that they put them on the basement floor because they're Korean comics. :-\

Unfortunately, RH lost me after OK Computer and I don't know why. :'(
After that, nothing seamed to click anymore. I guess they went off in another direction for me.
:bow Pablo Honey, The Bends, OK Computer :bow2
i saw them at the Tibetan Freedom Festival in NYC in the late 90's.

Sometimes, there's nothing like reading a completely biased account of a controversial affair

Post-Soul Nation
The Explosive, Contradictory, Triumphant, and Tragic 1980s as Experienced by African Americans (Previously Known as Blacks and Before That Negroes)
One of the foremost chroniclers of the contemporary black experience offers an undeluded perspective on the 1980s. Here are crack, AIDS, and the Reagan rollback of the major advances of the civil rights movement. But Nelson George also shows how black performers, athletes, and activists made increasing inroads into the mainstream. This fast-paced, chronological retrospective profiles personalities from Bill Cosby to Louis Farrakhan and explores such flashpoints as the first rap single and the infamous Willie Horton ad campaign.
