Meet the Sniper: http://steampowered.com/v/index.php?area=app&AppId=5051 :lol
Currently, two weapons are known for the Pyro:
-The Axstinguisher: A barbed-wire wrapped hatchet. Does 50% damage normally, but is a guaranteed crit if the target is on fire.
-(http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb213/Capndrake/pyro.png) ???
Also, two user-created maps will be released as part of an official update.
Valve. :bow2
-
Probably a flame shotgun.
Here's hoping that the primary weapon is a flame rocket launcher.
-

It actually may be a rocket launcher. Or some kind of flare gun.
-
Two user created maps to be cp_warpath and cp_labor? They should be.
-
Looks to be a Flare Gun. I really have to start playing again.

created by Arttu "skdr" Mäki
A control point map with five points, in the style of Badlands. Its symmetrical layout provides for high-speed and well balanced gameplay, while the multiple indoor routes, connected to larger outdoor arenas, provide a wide set of interesting and varied combat spaces. The arena-style control points require solid teamwork to capture and hold.

created by Bill Johnston
A CTF map inside a large industrial compound. It's clean and straightforward, making it easy to learn, but its well balanced layout ensures there are still a wide variety of strategic choices for teams to make, and for individual classes to shine. Competitive teams and players have already popularized this one.
In addition to the three unlockable Pyro weapons, we've made a significant addition to the base Pyro flamethrower. By hitting the alt-fire key, the Pyro is able to produce a blast of compressed air that knocks enemies away, and redirects enemy projectiles. It’s a highly versatile tool, allowing Pyros to get away from nearby enemies after igniting them, to kill enemy soldiers with their own rockets, or to separate enemy Medics from their healing targets. In particular, it allows a skilled Pyro to contain an enemy invulnerability push, and even to separate the Medic completely if the surrounding terrain supports it.
The first Pyro unlockable is The Flare Gun, which replaces the shotgun. It allows the Pyro to ignite an enemy at long range, but does require careful aim on their part. It’s particularly useful for causing havoc on Snipers and Engineers who want to keep their distance.
The second Pyro unlockable is The Backburner. This flamethrower is built for the Pyro who likes to ambush their opponents. It removes the compression blast capability, instead guaranteeing critical hits whenever it’s used on an opponent from behind. To aid in survivability, it grants the Pyro an extra fifty health.
The third Pyro unlockable is The Axtinguisher. This mighty axe guarantees critical hits on any enemy that’s currently on fire, although it’s significantly weaker against enemies who aren’t. A great combination with the The Flare Gun, or with another Pyro buddy riding alongside doing the igniting.

Meet the Sniper is like the worst of the video series.
-
God, Valve is so fucking awesome.
-
Meet the Sniper is like the worst of the video series.
You're crazy -- that rocked.
-
Meet the Sniper is like the worst of the video series.
It was the best. You must think the soldier one is the best.
-
1. Meet the Soldier
2. ...Sniper
3. ...Demoman
4. ...Scout
5. ...Engineer
6. ...Heavy
Objective fact.
-
I don't think the Sniper video was bad in any way, it's still really awesome, but not as good as Valve's others. IMO:
1. Meet the Scout
2. ...Engineer
3. ...Heavy
4. ...Soldier
5. ...Demoman
6. ...Sniper
-
Meet the Demoman is far and away the funniest of these videos.

So. Fucking. Awesome.

I wish this game wasnt so hard. I bought it on release and never played it because my colleges connection sucked. Now that im at home with a good cocnnection i'm too afraid to jump in and learn the game :(
-
I don't think it's hard at all. It's more noob-friendly than almost all the PC multiplayer FPSs out there. Try soldier, sniper, or demoman first. Pyro is fun, but kinda hard to be good at.
-
It's hard in that I can't just go into any server and learn how to play the game without getting kicked or called a taco distinguished black fellow. It sucks. I really want to play too, because I loved the little bit I played when it first came out and was pretty decent as a spy.
Perhaps one of you can adopt me and show me the ropes!
-
Really? I've barely come across shit like that. Most of the people I've managed to jump in servers with are pretty cool. Is this on 360 or PC?
-
Is TF2 as great as everyone says it is? How much is the PC version?
-
Great, every server is achievement whoring now.
I love playing pyro, but these dumbasses don't realize that these achievements are meant to be unlocked just by normally playing pyro.
I don't see, "kill a bunch of other pyros with your axe 50 times" like with the Medic, people, I see simple stuff like "ignite 10 cloaked spys and 10 disguised spys" and "ignite 3 people taunting" and "destroy 10 buildings" and "ignite 3 medics with full ubercharge" and "make ignited player jump into water."
But of course, nobody wants to play spy or engy or medic, making it impossible to get most of the achievements outside of the basic ones. :-\
-
At least all pyros is more entertaining than all medics. I missed that update, thank god.

PC of course, i'm not distinguished mentally-challenged.

OMG Backburner owns so much.
I drink up the tears of all soldiers, demomen, and spies who are crying now. "Bu-bu-but, overpowered!"
LOL, your era of win button is now over.
-
The flare gun is awesome, but the most useless weapon in the game, lul. The backburner is also pretty awesome. Never got the chance to use the Axtinguisher yet.
-

Yes, Tauntaun plays this game a lot, so it is bootylicious. It's $20 alone or you can buy the orange box for more. DO IT!

:bow Flamer :bow2
Even with the old flamethrower I could reek havoc, this will be fun! :D
-
Backburner is heaven. I am owning fools with it left and right.
And while I was playing, my kitty liked it so much that she started purring and rubbing against me, until she jumped up on my desk and started attacking my hand when I tried to use the mouse. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v233/MastahCrushed/Emote/emot-3.gif)

:heart Awww, my cat loves to sit on my lap while I play. I sometimes have to boot him off though if he gets rowdy. :wag

I was playing it on Steam not too long ago thanks ot the free weekend thing. It reminds me of Timesplitters, but with better controls.
-
They Pyro is a chick. Boobs!
-
Pyro is the most annoying enemy to face after the medic completely charges him up or whatever the fuck that's called.

Ubercharge. What's your Steam ID, Beezy?

Same as Xbox Live, Ji3eezy. I like the game, but I suck at it. It's so fast and I can't tell whether or not I'm hitting someone. I had the same problem in the Timesplitters games. :(
-
What are you playing as? I would recommend Soldier to start off with.
-
You guys should add me so I can play with you guys...BostonCollegeFan
-
I played with soldier most of the time yesterday. Today I've been trying Pyro and Engineer.
-
I've only played as Engineer for like a half-hour, out of 40 hours.
-
Be a scout and whack people with your baseball bat
-
BOINK
-
Yeah, I tried Scout too in the matches where you have to capture a base/point/etc. I haven't tried anyone's melee weapons.
-
-Reduced Medic's unlockable requirements to match that of the Pyro's. Medic players now meeting the requirements will receive their unlockables shortly after joining a server
Valve again :bow2

Using melee weapons in TF2 is like posting on this board, you gotta get them from behind for great justice! :-*
I was playing in a crazy game last night on 2Fort. The other team had like 4 pyros and 4 snipers, pretty ridiculous. Great sniper wars though. :D
-
Does anyone want to take me under their wing and teach me the ropes? I used to play spy alot but I get scared whenever I enter a server :(. In return i'll be your achievement gimp.
