I'm excited about Macross and Band Bros DX.  The original Band Bros was awesome.

Macross games usually suck hard, so I'm not expecting anything good.   :-\

7777 for Basara X, not bad for Famitsu I guess.  Weird that KOF '98 UM doesn't have a review since it's coming out next week as well.

The AM2 Macross game was awesome.

What did they say about bleach?

It's not a fighting game this time.   :-\

Fafner on the PSP wasn't great (really wasn't terrible, either, for a licensed mecha game), but Art Dink has a good track record of mecha games with Carnage Heart and their Gundam Battle games for the PSP, though.

but I heard the story was important! I'd totally find an import shop if it was.

You won't understand a word of it, why bother?  It's some strategy/RPG style game, I think.

There's a Bleach platformer coming out for the PSP, right? I saw a video of it a while back...

I'll have someone translate it as I play.

You could hire Itagaki and his translator for yourself. And here you always thought you'd one day work for him.

Macross Ace Frontier scans up, had to be resized when I hosted them on tinypic.

Something on Last Remnant exclusivity (?) - anyone care to translate?
http://i28.tinypic.com/2uyghl2.jpg

That clip doesn't say a single thing about exclusivity. It doesn't even say the 360 version is coming first. Famitsu have a real pro-PS3 agenda :(

Sorry, I saw PS3 mentioned and I figured it concerned something regarding exclusivity.

The Macross Ace Frontier scans look awesome. Art Dink pretty much is making a Macross game with the Gundam Battle engine, and there's nothing wrong with that!

I hope the controls are good.  Transformed crafts in the Gundam PSP games are a bit awkward to control.

This week's Fami news is pretty bare bones and full of nothing.

Goodnight, folks.

I lied.

Dissidia, SCIV scans put up, and there seems to be a lovely SE interview that's begging to be translated.  :-*

Is Raiden IV a lot better than Raiden III was?  Raiden III was a snoozefest.

Go down to Taito Station and drop 100 yen to find out!

I thought R4 was pretty good, but I also liked R3, so take that as you will.

As much as this interests me, I refuse to buy any game released on September 11, so sadly I'll have to take a pass at this game.

Dragon Ball DS, Valkyrie Profile DS scans (courtesy of GoNintendo)
http://gonintendo.com/?p=46853

Something is bothering me about the VP scans - the two new character in there don't seem like it's the same artist as the rest of the characters.

This scares me because the last game I remember to do this (having a few characters out of place due to being designed by a completely different artist) was Tales of the Tempest, which was awful. Is this game really being made by tri-Ace themselves?

Dragon Ball looks amazing.  If it uses the same controls as Phantom Hourglass, then I am fine with that.

Honestly, the only thing that leads me to believe tri-Ace has something to do with it is the fact that they were hiring people that had experience in DS development a while back. Other than that, the game seems a bit out of place, and I don't think any notable tri-Ace staff (if any) have been mentioned concerning the development of the game.

VP1 and 2 are all low budget.
