I know someone here has the MGS4 headset. Is it any good? I really need to pick up a headset soon so I can play some online stuff soon...

Any good ones, then? I may get my dad to get me a Motorola headset...

If you have expendable income, get the logitech one: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/gaming/playstation_3/devices/3675&cl=us,en
It is $80 (I got it for much cheaper) and I think it is the best headset you can get for games. It doesn't hang off your ear like pretty much every other one out there. Audio quality is quite good and you can hear people clearly and they can hear you as well. Greatest (why) feature is that you can actually mute the mic so others can't hear you talk, yet you can still hear them. Also, it uses USB 2.0 charger (same as PS3 controllers). It comes with a USB2.0 to AC adapter anyway, so yeah.

Thanks. Any other recommendations?

I have a jawbone. It's nice in that it also works on both of my cell-phones and has noise-canceling technology. My complaints:
1) It does 'hang off the ear'
2) It can be hard to hear other people on it
3) My dad tells me that when I call him while outside on an even mildly windy day, it sounds like I'm in a wind tunnel. Guess the 'noise-canceling' isn't as great as they advertise it to be.
4) Requires a proprietary charger cable (included, but sucks you can't just charge it with any old cable)
Pros:
1) It's good looking. You don't look like a complete tool when wearing it in public
2) All the buttons are recessed, which is nice.
3) Charges over USB, so easy to charge on the PS3.
4) Comfortable on the ear, even after long wear.
5) Has a reasonable resell value if you decide to get something else (see ebay)
