Title: $50 laptop get. Woopie

So, one of Nikki's friends just got a new laptop and is offloading her old one. She's selling it to Nikki for $50, and it's going to be mine.

Here's the basic info as I understand it:
Dell XPS M1250
12.1" WXGA 1280x800 screen
Intel Core Duo Processor T2300E (1.66GHz/667MHz FSB/2MB Cache)
1GB 667MHz DDR2 RAM
60GB 5400RPM hard drive
My guess is that it's using integrated video, which is fine as I won't be gaming with it.


The only downside is that the battery seems to be shot, according to the girl.

For $50, though, that can't really be beaten.

Batteries are more of a hassle than a big cost.

That's awesome, I need to get a cheap laptop that can hold most of my music collection and run "Virtual DJ" without problems. And run ZSNES well too...

My gf got a free laptop yesterday.  Hand-me-down laptops are awesome, especially for people that didn't have any.  I don't know the specs, it's a DELL though.

17" screen, 2.4 gHz processor, 512 mb RAM, shames both my PC and my gf's PC.  Pretty damn cool for a free laptop.  It's hardly portable, though.  Great for a house laptop, especially once I clean off all the spyware.  Stupid people and their stupid limewire.
