Did they change boss attacks and patterns in FES? Im against that Tomb/Guardian boss on floor 35 and its killing me easily. The guide sez it uses poison and REFLECTS wind spells, but instead it never casts poison and uses an AREA high dmg wind spell. I want to kill it before 6/06 so I can complete the old document 2 mission for Elizabeth but despite having all the best equipment and being able to absolutely plow through the 'boss' on 30 I think it was, I can't survive a fight against the floor 35 boss. ARHGHGHGHGHHG

sounds like you need to update your p3 gantt chart-obviously some of the dependencies to meet the 6/06 date for the Document 2 mission are behind schedule.

There's no Fes-specific guide? :piss

frag: I spent too many days telling the girl on the track team she isnt fat :(
on today's P3 fes conference call we had the following updates:
track team girl convinced she's not a fatty- GREEN status
floor 35 boss/document 2 mission - RED status, hard target date in jeopardy
I'll be updating the charts and sending them out shortly.

Before this battle level up an Apsaras until she learns Posmudi, then fuse
her with a Nekomata. In <P3> the result is an Omoikane with Posmudi. In <P3>
Omoikane has a resistance to Wind and having Posmudi is invaluable for this
fight. It doesn’t quite work out that way in <FES>, since the fusion tables
have been switched around and instead of an Omoikane you get an Alp. This
actually works out quite well for you, since Alp has a resistance to wind
while in <FES> Omoikane does not. It is VERY difficult to keep Junpei alive
through this fight. In fact it might be a better idea to just leave him back
at the lobby and fight this battle a man down.
Set Yukari’s Tactics to Heal/Support, as she will be useless offensively in
this battle. You’ll likely have to rely on Akihiko to do most of the damage
in this battle, so be sure to keep him above 100 HP at all times. It mostly
pounds you with (Ma)garula, but it will occasionally throw in a Poison Mist,
which can poison the entire party. If anyone get poisoned then immediately
use Posmudi to cure it. (Yukari will occasionally chip in a Dis-Poison of her
own, but don‘t count on it.) This will be a lengthy battle, but as long a you
can keep everyone free of poison and Akihiko above 100 HP you should be able
to outlast it.

Frag plays P3? :(
-3 INT and WIS
Maf, guides aren't always useful. I was more successful in a MGS4 boss fight using my own strategy than that of the guide.

I'm not playing that fruity wacky jappy stuff. I remember a while ago that Drinky ravaged P3 with constant references to Microsoft Project (and it did sound ridiculous), and here I'm just sorta making fun of MAF using project planner-speak. Heck I don't know much more about the game other than his trolling and the ridiculously over the top character art.
I've been playing Titan Quest, Assassin's Creed PC, and some Hearts of Iron 2 over the last week.

My bad. Shouldn't have doubted The Man, The Myth, The Legend!
-
I know guides arent useful. The VP2 guide made up a spell that didnt even exist, when instead you had to use a specific sphere in the zone. LOLZ GUIDE
I think my main problem with this boss is how it spams area wind spells. Sure junpei cant hold up, but neither can anyone else. What level does Yukari get an area heal?

The sad thing is that if P3 had actually come with a sort of built-in project management charting facility to manage all the timeframes and dates in the game I'd probably break down and buy the game for it. Close enough to a spreadsheet!
ESPECIALLY if they made a PC version that had an "export to MS Project 2007 or WWW" feature.
Actually, I should consider making a gantt chart for my next TOAW3 game. The dependencies on scenario objectives and clear round/turn based time system would make managing the 150-200+ units much more manageable.

P3's guide is pretty useful, then again this is for P3 and not P3: Fes.

shut up, himu-chan

maf-san, why??

Holy fuck Hearts of Iron 2? That is, without question, the hardest game I have ever played. Make a thread :-*
It's all about grokking Paradox. If you can "speak Paradox" the game isn't that bad to learn since you know most of the conventions.
It's a great game, but suffers somewhat since history itself isn't very balanced and you can game a lot of the historical events for maximum benefit.
Hrmmmmmm, maybe I should play JAPPY and edit the save file to add Evilbore heads of states and Generals. We can send General Himumu to Mecca!

Ok, got past the fight and grinded to the 8th and finished the Fuuka quest. Got rid of Stupei for the guardian fight I was stuck on so Yukari's healing AI wasn't so draconian about dishing out heals. DEAR YUKARI! IF I HAVE 88 HP AND STUPEI HAS 70 HP YOU DO NOT HEAL STUPEI! IF I DIE THE GAME IS OVER! HEAL ME! YOU FUCK! GOD DAMNIT YOU HEALED HIM! SHIT HERE COMES THE SPELL! DAMN YOUUUUUUUU
Sucked I didnt have a persona strong against wind, but ol jack frost held up ok. Got his hot tempered brother now. Jack Brothers move rox.
