No, it really does look like shit - you would think making a barren wasteland, they could take that opportunity to beef up the details. Look at those bitmap seaweed thingies on that 3DS Max mountain

he's right, bethesda is probably punting the job responsbilities for high-res textures to the PC modders again. The game does look pretty bad in those pics.
