Title: I LOL'd at Mind of Mencia a couple minutes ago...

I was eating a pot pie while watching South Park tonight, and after it went off Mind of Mencia came on. I can't stand him, but since my remote control doesn't work, and I didn't feel like getting off the couch to change the channel...I watched some of it. Well Mencia made me laugh...

For obvious reasons. Booker T sucked up to the white man and told distinguished black fellow jokes in the presense of American presidents. His talking points are the foundation of the Republican party's social/economic plan for poor people (boot straps my ass). Du Bois spent years arguing against Booker T, and today very few people rememeber him which is sad.

Don't knock the social/economic plans for poor people! I say fuck 'em! But yes, I have a rather infuriating hate for Booker T and those who worship him. Dubois and Garvey make up the list of people I find truly inspirational for civil rights movements.

These are people who didn't sit back complaining while demonizing white people or bashing the president (fuck you Jesse Jackson, Sharpton). These guys created the blueprint for a movement while offering up exciting solutions to problems and questions. It's sad that the black community is lacking a true spokesman, or "leader" anymore. Jackson simply doesn't cut it
