That's another beautiful thing about the game - it's riddled with secrets. The "overworld" seems completely empty at first site, but there are many secrets in it as well as the many other areas of the game. The amount of goodies hidden throughout the game is probably my favorite aspect.holes with shitty items?
btw, serious question: did teh z-targetting and the 3rd person sword controls all originate from Oot, or did N ripped it off someone els?
Man did you puke out your brains the other day or what?he's dying, let him talk.
and the horrendous overworld that you spend like half the game on and is basically completely empty.

Brave Fencer Musashi on the PS1 was better looking and better playing, and it still is today.
Zelda games post-NES are pretty shit in general. TWW was at least very, very pretty, and imaginative. The others don't even have that.
They should make a game called Brendan Frasier Musashi. You could play through his various roles-- the Jewish guy in that one movie where he gets made fun of for being Jewish, Encino Man, Mummy. It would be awesome.

I think there may be a precursor or two, but OoT gets the credit. I'm not going to bitch about that. Even if it weren't the innovator, it did popularize the technique.
I think the only truly good (as in memorable after completing the game) is the Forest Temple. The Wtaer Temple is memorable, but not in a good way. I won't say it had bad dungeon design or anything, but it certainly did not have good, memorable dungeon design. OoT was the first place where it became blatantly obvious that Zelda without a jump button was just distinguished mentally-challenged.
minishcap is the best zelda
This thread is concrete proof that this forum is fucking insane.
PDZ is a fucking disgrace.
I would write more, but there's no use. Fucking rename this gaming forum "The Loony Bin" and get it over with.

loved BFM, couldn't even be assed to finish the first dungeon with the tree in OoT.
