i think it's fairly likely that tdr will be an overhyped piece of trash, but i'm hoping it's awesome! because things like this so rarely are!
-
'EVAR' should have been an obvious signal
sorry you guys had to 'suffer' through some harmless hyperbole... some of you are soo detached, aloof, I can't keep up 8)
hope you get the crappy movie you deserve.
-
I am looking forward to TDK quite a bit, but it's really, really overhyped.
The poster's pretty cool, dunno about best poster EVAR, let alone best poster ever.
-
The whole Joker thing is beginning to feel overplayed already. I hope there's more than a passing glimpse of Scarecrow in here, to alleviate some of the Joker focus.
-
The Scarecrow is in it for two minutes. Who the fuck wants to watch the Scarecrow for two hours? The Joker is one of the best villains ever.
-
Scare Crow sucks.
I hope we get to see Bane happen in this universe, do his backstory, being born in the prison, etc etc. I think he is a wonderful character, and if there's one villain that makes me "fear" for batman, it's him.
Well at least that's how i remember him.
-
Bane was distinguished mentally-challenged.
-
Maybe it's because I don't visit GAF or SA anymore but I've avoided virtually all hype for this movie. It can't be worse than the late 90s Batman.
-
Bane was distinguished mentally-challenged.
Why? To me he was kinda like Batman.
But i think i understand you, spiderman fans think venom is shit, superman fans think doomsday is shit, batman fans think bane is shit, i guess if the Villain is a true match to the super hero then fans cry.
-
fans of comics hate villains created in the 90s not out of fear, but because most things which came out of editorial decisions in the 90s suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked hard

Ding! Ding! Ding!
Folks that read their first comic in the 90s usually don't understand this because they're blinded by nostalgia - but all of those things sucked. Bane sucked. Azrael really sucked. 90s Batman sucked. The continuity and the universe became so convoluted that it was gag worthy.
How many villains were created in the 90s that were meant to be mirror images of the hero, but with non-existant or horribly convoluted backstories and wore WICKED AND/OR XTREME COSTUMES? Answer: Too Many.

Bane was awful. Would've been a nice oneshot thing but nooooo.
-
At least the 90s gave us Age of Apocalypse. That was pretty rad.

Haha! I both love and love-hate you. I love love-hate you.
-
I want Ang Lee to direct The Dark Knight. Near the climax of the film, The Joker and Batman would end their silly quarrel and embrace as lovers. And hate fuck. The end.
-
WHY SO SERIOS?
-
I think it's Ras, not Raz. Plenty of nice people are named Ras!

Spider-Man just introduced the villain Anti-Venom, which - as the ISB pointed out - is an evil mirror version of a villain that was already an evil mirror version of the hero to begin with.
-
That tagline cracks me up, especially when it seems that Nolan himself is going all out fucking serious, it's like a slice of serious pie, topped with angsty whipping cream, and some topical nuts.
I'm a bit worried by all the pre-reviews I'm seeing that reference 9/11. Really? Really?
Cloverfield was bad enough.
-
This thread can't exist on this forum. It's positive about a movie that will probably be the best comic book movie ever.
But EB isn't convinced, so fuck you.
HATE TRAIN WHOOO WHOOOOO

I'm calling it right now
Hellboy II > The Dark Knight

So, Serum then?
