Title: So I watched QORE 2
Post by: abrader on July 05, 2008, 04:56:34 AM
I hate how it puts each episode in yer PS3 game folder as a game :(

Anyway - Veronica Belmont is the host (I never read anything about this - just impulse downloaded it)

RESISTANCE 2 looks AMAZING in motion - they show a graphic compare of Resistance / Resistance 2 and the difference is stunning. The color spectrum is far more varied and vibrant, everything looks sharper and the chimera have like 400% more detail. I really want this title after seeing the videos.

In one segment Veronica Belmont is in the Resistance 2 animation capture session so they make her put on a skin tight, camel toe showing jump suit with sensors all over it. She dances around as an animated Chimera and even talks about her VPL or Visible Panty Line.

They showed Silent Hill 2 Homecoming and it looks MUCH better in motion than in those stills that were floating around the last few months.

Still it looked tired and I am very concerned its gonna be a snoozer. Things just havent been the same since they rolled out SH4.

I downloaded the NAruto Demo and the videos look great but I cant fucking stand Naruto. I do want another cell shaded game - like a JEt Set Radio 3 or something....

I think I got my $2 worth from the Resistance 2 segment - and OMFG they had a Burger King ad on the download section.

is it worth the money to subscribe to it?

I dont know about that - why not just try one episode or maybe just download the ones you want.

My lure here was Resistance 2 and silent Hill.

Resistance 2 doesn't look amazing in motion at all.

You are easily impressed. The graphics look average.

Episode 2 of Qore is much better than the first one, which was shit.  Belmont is a pretty good host also.

All the Resistance 2 footage was stuff we have seen before.  Same really early gameplay footage of both single player and multiplayer, I have the feeling the multplayer is further along than single player by the looks of things, but it is sounding like it will be good.  Graphically it isn't amazing, but much better than the incredibly flat original Resistance.  There isn't that much new info on it either unless you avoided magazine articles, but the co-op sounds like it is going to be unbelievable.  I think the co-op is the standout aspect of this game and I hope they succeed with it so more games do something similar.

I have seen most of those Resistance clips before - but never in this resolution so I could see what I was looking at.

The new premise excites me - that one LA stage reminds me of duke Nukem 3D with the movie theatre.

I think they are going to be doing cool stuff with single player in Resistance 2, and we saw the big boss thing that looked like the cloverfield monster, but I still think both co-op and multiplayer seem like the best parts.  Multiplayer is taking the genius aspect of BF2's squad system and making it more simple for consoles.  Huge map with several squads that have different objectives an the other team trying to stop you sounds awesome.  An entire separate 8 person co-op campaign is just amazing, especially because there will be a class system and points and all that stuff.  And the only areas shown so far I think were Iceland and Chicago, but I think San Fransisco is also in it.

lol paying for demos and game videos is a-ok but paying for xbox live is bad. so bad. even when qore is $24.99 for a year. which is half the cost of a yearly sub for xbl (well if you're too dumb to not find yearly sub deals that is).
Title: Re: So I watched QORE 2
Post by: cool breeze on July 07, 2008, 04:35:23 AM
Both are bad, but at the end of the day I feel worse about paying for online play.  At least with the 360 there is a teeny tiny bit more for the cost, but back on the regular Xbox it was really sad.

i'd agree with you if psn offered the same functionality as xbl, but even after the hyped to the heavens in game xmb it does not. maybe sony will get it right by next year.

Yeah, but the thing that bothers me is that the original Xbox hardly had as much functionality as the Wii, yet they still charged the $50 for it.

yeah and it had no real competition in the console space last gen when it came to online. still charing og xboxers $50 a year is a little messed up tho.
