It's perfect, buy it and post pics
I made an entire thread on making my current PC, and I barely crested $1000 total

This is my thread, and you can see what I decided on - it will "just play games" at a reasonable resolution and framerate (I play Crysis @ 1280x1024 on High just fine), while you can spend the rest of your money on more PS3 games and Mac Mouses
At max settings, Crysis is easily the most beautiful game ever made but the performance is atrocious. Even on the fastest machines, Crysis will only run about 30fps at max settings in 1080P. And there are still some spots where the framerate will dip to 20 or so. There's no good reason why my rig can run DMC4 in 1080p w/16x AA at 150fps while Crysis is barely playable at the same resolution with no AA.
Otoh, Crysis's framerate is really not worse than many console shooters so Abrader should be fine with it.
SC2, DoW2, WAR, WOTLK.
Why do you need two DVD burners?
Sorry for the serious reply, but my curiosity was piqued.
Also, you may as well go for 4 GB of RAM if you're spending that much already.
So PCs use 1200W PSUs these days? Jesus h. christ. Fossil fuels am cry.

So it seems like ill do better by putting more $$ into;
- display (30")
- the video hardware
- good KBD/mouse.
EDIT: Also if I build my own, I wont get a box loaded with shit ware that needs to be reformatted right away.
I definitely agree about getting good video hardware and a good KBD/mouse. I dunno about a 30" display-I think that 24" LCDs are the current sweet spot for PC gaming at this point. 30" displays mean super-high native resolutions, I think you're probably better off at 1920x1200 or something and cranking up visual fidelity.
You really are jumping in to PC gaming or is this some kind of a joke thread?

Why shouldn't Abrader buy a 30" monitor if he can afford it? They're made for gamers that can spend as much as they want.obviously if he has the money and willingness to splurge on the monitor and cards, then by all means.
If you will buy a 30" display doesn't that mean it will have the default res some godly 2500x1600? That means you should be playing most if not all games in that res and believe me that most new games if not all won't play @ 30 fps in that native resolution. Don't overdo it man!
