Title: Wow there was a fire at my work yeasterday.

"No one was injured in a fire Tuesday afternoon at the [my work].

Saskatoon Fire and Protective Services arrived at 2 p.m. to find a blaze in the woodworking shop.

The fire was put out quickly. It appears that sparks ignited dust in the shop's dust collection system.

Everyone made it out safely. Damage is estimated at $10,000."


I've been on sick leave for a month but the thing is maintaining the dust collector is usually my job.  I think it's rather lucky that I wasn't there.

So are you implying that the fire started because you weren't there to clean out the dust collector?

You should ask for a raise upon return.

It could have.  No one cleans Doris like me.

Actually I'm just glad it didn't catch fire while I was responsible for it.
