Title: So my PS3 is as loud as my 360.

I've got a 80gig PS3 and lately the fan has been going into overdrive within the first couple of minutes and it's seriously as loud as my 360 with a game in it.  I don't know what's the deal here.  Sure it's summer and it's warm outside but I've got central air and the house is cool, the system is on a shelf by itself with plenty of air circulation.  I used a can of compressed air on the thing but it still sounds like a vaccum cleaner.

Anyone else's having this problem?

I notice my 60gb gets louder than usual on MGS4 but still it isn't quite as loud as a 360.  My 280GTXes are almost as loud as a 360 though.

Maybe your 360 is just really quiet.  I know, a far fetched idea, but it could be!

Horizontally.  On a shelf by itself.
