Don't you still have to have the disk in the tray?
Uhh, so that's sort of like the by now ancient Eyetoy + XMB demonstration? I'm still annoyed that they haven't implemented that, would be a nice party trick. For the 360, that'd require one hell of a redesign from the current clunky, unresponsive and claustrophobic, but I guess anything is possible. You'd still have to deal with a distinguished mentally-challenged device as opposed to navigationg with hand gestures, but hey.

lol, owned
Your right, your cardinal complaint, that they would release a half assed motion device, did not come true.
They did however totally redo their clunky ass interface, which is what you were hoping would be too much for them to do.
Then they threw in 8 man parties for the fuck of it and made 2.4 look like an even bigger joke. With integration with all titles, no less.

Actually, I'm genuinely happy about it. When I had the loaner 360, the Dashboard was the by far most obnoxious thing about the whole experience. Going between the ultra-smooth, tree-based XMB to that shit, that was painful. This, is much better.
Still, community focus is crazy nerdy.
it is indeed nerdy, but it keeps sucking the wind out of sony's sails and forces them to squander more resources on their budget graphics solution cum blu-ray player. anything that makes kittonwy and tabris twitch is good by me, even if i'll never use it!

It's the opposite of nerdy when you game with real friends.
Playing with real friends is pointless on PS3, which is why I don't game online on PS3.
what evidence would that be
:piss Online Communities :piss2better get off this forum, you nerd
killzone 2 would have actual soft shadows on the 360, and better modifier volumeslol
:bow :bow unified shader models :bow2 :bow2
better get off this forum, you nerd
The movie party shit sounds awesome, really. Thats what sounds the coolest to me.

Indeed, I see future EB MST3K-esque Live meetups. We can start with the worst movie of 2008, Speed Racer.

Yeah I dont understand why people are like 'ew nerd' to this.
Yeah, after today's Final Fantasy debacle I'm not even going to start the PS3 defense force engines up, except to say that I'll probably be playing it STILL on PS3, because I know it will work, unlike the 360, which has red-ringed three times.

The Final Fantasy debacle doesn't concern me at all. It should probably concern Sony, but my interest is squarely in what Sony's developers are cooking up. I once said that I'd ditch the system if Sucker Punch or Insomniac were ditched, and that's perfectly true. It's a good system, but it's worth nothing without the games from specifically those two developers. Still, I'll have to look into actually buying another 360 this Fall, I just hope the version out then is a very reliable one. I always knew that I'd play Gears 2 and Fable 2, but now the UI seems to become a lot less lame too.
he made a MST3K reference and you reply with "how is this possibly nerdy?!" :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lolThe movie party shit sounds awesome, really. Thats what sounds the coolest to me.

What's so special about Insomniac's games?
i'm not sure the ps3 could do gears of war 2 with the same level of visual fidelity :bow2you're silly
Resistance 1 is great for a console shooter. I have always been a fan of the Ratchet series, so I don't need to get into that there. Even as a big PC gamer who things most console shooters are about an automatic 6 or 7 compared to the PC pumping out 10 shooters, Resistance 2 sounds amazing.i'm interested in seeing resistance 2's co-op campaign and multiplayer. PC games like swat 4 and raven shield are a lot of fun with their team co-op. and i'm always interested in a game that attempts to do large scale multiplayer in a new way.

They are brilliantly entertaining. Some more so than others, but at worst, an Insomniac game is going to be merely "good."
I'm hoping they will hit greatness with Resistance 2. Resistance was a very competent, well made shooter, but it was more of a Best Of FPS deal than a classic in its own right. Resistance 2 sounds like a good step up, in quite a few ways. And knowing that it will be polished is a good thing.
Not sure why I bother writing a serious response to one of your posts though.
