Seriously, right? They had material to fill the conference with game footage and demonstrations, but no.

Yep. I regret not getting into Motorstorm when the Online was at its peak, I'll probably jump on this one though. The tropical areas look cool.

I don't think I ever played that online, actually. The loading times eventually became too much for me, made the game unplayable.

And yeah, the loadtimes when it came to generating just the car your trying to choose was disgustingly long. Hope they streamlined things more in the sequel.

Absolutely the most amazingly boneheaded thing with Motorstorm was the inclusion of night races... without headlights. I consider myself to be fairly good at racing games, but coupling the poor visibility with the mongoloid-on-speed behavior of the A.I. opponents made for some impossible races later on in the game.
Oh well, it had an awesome racing base, many great moments there, so hopefully the team has focused almost squarely on fixing the broken bits.

I thought M1 was awesome but the load times were ASS. This is day1 for me.
