My only option for escape right now is EAST. BUT THERE'S NOTHING THERE. Must. buy. . .
-
northbound will clear up in 30, almost always does
-
Fuck it, I'm gonna get an orange julius
-
then go to alderwood, or you can go to silver platter and buy the mcguyver box set
-
he already bought it
-
omg hahaha was that it?
-
No. And I am shocked that Prole still has not figured out the Mystery Purchase. Shocked. McGuyver is a little too femme for my tastes.
-
nukka please. who bought the gilmore girls boxset?
-
hahahahahahha
-
Why Alderwood? Redmond Town Cener and Bellevue Square [shudder] are much closer.
-
alderwood is a better mall, has more nerd and tech stores
-
Alderwood > Hellevue Square and Redmond town.
I think its the biggest mall next to southcenter these days

More boredom and the slight want of orgiastic, womanlike capitalism than anything else, plus I have never been there. If you can offer any better suggestions, my ears are open. I mean, especially if you could tell me how I could get delicious Orange Julius without going into Bellevue Square, which is like the fortress of evil.

Try to find a combination Dairy Queen/Orange Julius. They're converting a lot of the standalone stores into them.

Ah. Alderwood has some ok stores. I try to avoid malls, but we go up there from time to time.
-
Alderwood gets bigger every year, its nuts
-
I kinda want to go to the U-District to get comics. But I'd imagine I'd have to wait until like 8 to head into seattle.
-
there's a comic shop right next to alderwood, but it pales in comparison with the ones in seattle imsure

Comic shops in Seattle? I haven't bought a comic in ages, but Zanadu has locations downtown and in the U-District (next to the Neptune). There's Dreamstrands in Greenwood, Fantagraphics in Georgetown, Arcane Comics in Ballard (I used to live by it), Comics Dungeon in Wallingford, and Golden Age Comics and Collectables in the Pike Place Market.
-
the one near alderwood is called comic stop. To be fair they did hunt down a copy of maximum carnage collection, so theyre good people.
-
I'd consider getting back into comics, but I already spend enough money on my geekish pursuits. My nerd store haunts are comprised of Easy Street Records, Pink Godzilla Games, Kick's Hobby and International Model and Toys.
-
What is the state of Kick's now? Last time Prole and I stopped in, they had gotten rid of most of their video games, which bummed me out.
-
I only follow Fables and a few manga after collecting all of the old comic series that made me nostalgic
-

Kick's hasn't sold games for the last couple years now. If you want your import fix locally, you'll need to head into the International District and shop at Pink Godzilla.

Now that you mention it, I don't think I'd been in there since I got FF12j there. Do you know why they stopped with the games? Just not worth it?
-
ooh, there's also southcenter mall
-
What the hell is there and where is it
-
Wait, that appears to distressingly be in Renton. You know what happened during my last Renton experience.

Probably. Their game selection was never very big, just a small number of games in a glass case.
Southcenter (in Tukwila, right next to I-5) is undergoing a huge renovation right now. The new expansion opens next Friday. They're getting an H&M!!
I was at the Southcenter Best Buy today on my way home from work.
-
Alderwood > Southcenter just cause the buildings are more fun to walk around in imo. Alderwood has a lot of newer mall concepts at play
-
Jesus fuck what have I become? I am in a conversation about mall concepts. What happened to my dream of a Unabomer shack in the middle of nowhere?

Move back to Seattle, where we snobby bastards are too good for malls. Where we prefer local stores and University Village!
