Title: So yea...is this computer fucked
Post by: Phoenix Dark on July 16, 2008, 02:33:16 PM: My brother spilled half a glass of water on the keyboard of my dad's computer. Water+keyboard=fucked motherboard iirc. The keyboard isn't working, but the computer is to a certain extent. Things are fucking up though, like:

-everytime you click on a link it appears in a separate tab
-the mouse wheel makes pages magnify/grow smaller instead of scrolling

So is the thing fucked and in need of a new motherboard, or is there something I can do to fix it. I've already unhooked the keyboard, and I tried using another keyboard and it didn't work either.

I've already tested another keyboard - didn't work. Didn't try another mouse tho (I'll try)

no it's a desktop, also i hooked up a new mouse and it still didn't work

Um, both of these are a result of holding the CTRL key down while doing whatever, ie clicking links or using the scroll wheel in the browser. Your control key is "stuck" lol. If you already tried another keyboard, get a USB keyboard instead.

Did you even try restarting? Or checking sticky keys?
