That is some hot shit.
And for the losers:

As everyone knows by now, yesterday in the General Motors press conference Bob Lutz spilled that the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox would utilize a 2.3L engine with direct-injection. GMI has gotten a few more tid-bits on the 2010 Equinox since yesterday; including some power numbers and details on the goals of the GMT-172 program.
From what we gather the base engine in the new Equinox will be an ECOTEC 2.3L four-cylinder with direct-injection as Lutz stated. The engine is said to be good for about 208-230 HP and highway fuel economy of upwards of 27-30 MPG.

The EPA's fuel economy website has finally added most of the 2009 models to it; including 90% of GM's 2009 fleet. There are a few notable changes to the 2009 GM lineup, most for the better.
2009 Malibu/Aura Hybrid: 26/34
2009 Cobalt/G5 XFE: 25/37
Malibu/Aura 4-Cylinder: 22/33

Wow, I want that. It looks like something from Speed Racer.

Yea with $6 gas? No thanks. 300hp is sufficient.

300 HP IS NEVER ENOUGH. 420 WON'T BE ENOUGH, EITHER.

Suck it haters, new Camaro beats last year's M3's Nurburgring time
http://www.leftlanenews.com/chevrolet-camaro.html
7 seconds shy of the current BMW M5, for $40,000 less.
bobobob muscle cars can't handle
-
I'd still rather have the M3. A driver with less than pro skills would most likely do better with the M3.
-
It's like 15 seconds faster than the 350Z too.
A driver with less than pro skills isn't going to push either car to its limits and is going to get the same performance out of either of them. The point is that the 'lol modern cars that look like old cars handle like old cars' shit is a myth.

Can't wait to see what an exhaust/ECU tune/air intake upgrade can do to that time. (http://images.corvetteforum.com/images/smilies/Chevy_anim.gif)
