The wikipedia article is safe, image-wise.
I had to look it up myself, as I've heard of it, but never really knew what it was.
Stock up on the painkillers, Prole. That sucks.

"Gout? Turf toe may have been a bit of a pipe dream, but gout's an old man disease!"
-
Gout is only for really old people. My grandpa, 87, gets it all the time.
He also hates on metroid prime. Just saying.
-
No he has a few more grandsons to ease the pain.
-
No more red meat for you. :-\
Gout was also known as an illness that affected the higher classes in medieval times. They ate richer foods than the peasants.
-
ManaByte is in your foot, and he's looking for a new roommate
-
Eating lots of liver causes gout.
Livers are full of bile.
Drinky thus therefore be full of bile.

My dad had it once a long long time ago.
Speaking of ancient diseases, I had scarlet fever twice as a kid. In English class in 9th grade we started talking about diseases and vaccines for whatever reason, and my teacher was like "okay who has had chicken pox? *everyone raises hands* who has had polio? *no one* scarlet fever? *just me*" haha. I had no idea it was so uncommon anymore until then. I was like WTF I had it TWICE how does that happen!?

Atleast you can pass on this story to future generations. Paint the story in a dramatic fashion and 4 or 5 generations down the line you'll be known for surviving the "Great Gout of 08"
-
I had a mild tetanus infection once after I stepped on a nail on the way to school :(
Some bastard placed a bunch of rusty spikes all over the lake that I live by, luckily only one person stepped on one before they found all 40+ of them.
-
What if he doesn't make it? :o
I claim his avatar.
:bow Prole :bow2
-
I want his tag.
-
What if he doesn't make it? :o
Then obviously he'll never be known for surviving the "Great Gout of 08," and that just won't play.
-
One of my friends got gout. We laughed at him appropriately.
-
My roommate who has gout just told me a couple of days ago that his sister got it too. It's clearly an epidemic :(
Sounds like incest. :wag
