Why oh why do devs want to destroy perfectly awesome single player rpg franchises by turning them into cruddy mmos?

RIP KOTOR, you can be buried next to Phantasy Star.

At least Phantasy Star Online/Universe had a single-player option.

Is it too much to ask for KOTOR III OFFLINE?

I guess it is.

YOU WILL PAY YOUR $15 A MONTH TO LEVEL YOUR PADAWAN UP FIGHTING KILLER DROIDS AND YOU'LL LIKE IT MR.!

Also, PSO/U single player was fucking terrible.  Fuck Sega, I will never, EVER forgive them for imploding like they did.  Sigh.

Like hell I will. I detest MMOs for their monthly fees. I've already shelled out my hard earned money to buy your game, now you're telling me I have to pay MORE each month to actually play it? Fuck that.

Well, you're one of the enlightened few then.  All of these assburgers run around the forum acting like WoW is an actual game instead of a chat client with a pretty GUI for social distinguished mentally-challenged fellows that don't have actual friends.  Oh, and they sit around playing it until they get gout.  Yup, GOUT.  Haha bastards, mmorpgs are not games.

It would be really neat if it was Guildwars esque instead of Wow esue. (Chance of single player). But EAs obsession with the great mmo egg will probably stop that.

after jade empire and mass effect, bioware is about as relevant to quality gaming as nintendo

although i will kinda resent the amount of time gaming podcasts will spend discussing this artistically unambitious and mechanically compromised mmo

on the other hand, these gaming podcasts give airtime to developer apologism of the most lugubrious order, so maybe this will be an improvement

oh, like i care
