Title: Best Depeche Mode album
Post by: TVC15 on July 19, 2008, 03:34:00 AM
I picked what are generally regarded to be the 6 (lol) best ones.  They do have a remarkably consistent career, aside from their earliest albums and the pretty bad Songs of Faith and Devotion.  Anyway, for me, it's Some Great Reward.

I'd have to go with Violator.

It really is Violator.

Violater is their Disintegration.  It's probably their most "trademark sound" album, but I hardly think it's the best.

Songs of Faith and Devotion. Too bad it's not listed. Music for the Masses on the 2nd place and Violator comes 3rd.

I'll add it for you, but really, Borys, that album has 2 good songs on it.

Ultra should be on this list instead of Songs and Faith and Devotion.  Construction Time Again probably deserves a spot as well.  I voted for Music For The Masses.  It's the album that I listen to the most by far.

Little 15 single :bow

edit: Oh, I'd never heard the Violator bonus tracks from the remastered edition.  They're fantastic.

Some Great Reward, no question.

The only thing that gave me pause was Never Let Me Down Again. I can never get sick of that song through a good set of speakers.
