Title: I grilled some porkchops for the first time
Post by: BlueTsunami on July 19, 2008, 09:28:17 PM
Adobo + Sason + Coal Grillin' = Juicy fucking chops

Had some fries and Velveeta Macaroni and Cheese with it. :drool

I had to use the 1/2inch Chops though since I was planning on pan frying them. Next time I'ma' get 1inch cut chops for the super juice.

Fries and Macaroni? What did you do to deserve a meal like that?

I'd be envious, but my gf just BBQ'ed me the biggest damn T-bone I've ever seen with potatoes, and beans mixed with shitake mushrooms.

I'M FULL!

:drool

I have to try and grill a T-Bone steak. I usually grill the cuts without a bone but next time, definitely T-Bone. I'ma marinade that shit too.

Fries and Macaroni? What did you do to deserve a meal like that?

:pimp

I was originally just going to do the Macaroni and Pork chops but I had some season fries. Figure I'd have a feast instead of the regular combo :3

I'm just happy how the Pork Chops came out. I was worried I'd over cook them but they came out fucking juicy. I wish I had some BBQ sauce to coat them with but I settled with just a dry rub.

I'm not Jewish, but if I had to say I was any religion, I would say I am Muslim because of my parents and all...but I still eat pork.  I rarely eat it, but I am not against it or anything weird like that.  Beef > Pork.  Poultry > Pork.  Fish vs Pork can go either way.

My favorite pork dishes are:

Chinese: twice cooked pork and spare ribs.
Thai: Spicy wide noodles with pork (don't know the Thai name)
American: Baby Back ribs.  (just went to Daemons last night).

The only pork product I eat is sausage.  Well, bacon if it is sufficiently burnt.  I'm pretty sure I'd make a better muslim than Himu.

I'm working out so I need to get as much protein and calories as possible. I need to take in atleast 140g or protein on heavy days, optimal is around 160lb (equal to lean muscle mass). This all basically means I have to eat shitloads of tuna fish.

But yes, I get most of my Protein from my 50 year old, gay shutin neighbor that lives upstairs.

It absorbs faster when taken through the bottom.  You will get fabulous muscles.

Yeah, tuna, even when you go for decent brands seems to be of variable quality.  Sometimes you get unlucky in a bad bad way.

I had pork last night... pork chop stuffed with apples and raisins, sauteed in a port wine reduction. It was fucking awesome. Pork is great but the best meat is definitely lamb. :drool

lamb is my favorite meat as well.

Pork can be quite good, it's all about the preparation and the cut though. Tenderloin is my favorite to make, though I will say that the key to it is ensuring it's cooked to just the proper temperature and not more. Most of the reason why pork gets a bad name is that people waay overcook it, and it turns out tough and dry. Now it shouldn't be pink or anything, but correctly cooked pork is night and day from overdone stuff in terms of flavor.

When I lived with my grandparents while I was in college, Gram made pork chops at least once a week. I stopped eating them after a while and now I can't eat them anymore. For a while, at least. She ruined them for me. :(

Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad if she didn't make them the same way every time...

I love fried chicken, and as such, I'm sure I'd make a better negro than Himu.
