I'm saving my bows until it is out. It sounds promising, but being in development forever isn't very inspiring.

:bow Left 4 Dead :bow2
Who needs to shoot locusts in November when I can shoot zombies!
:gun
-
I've been waiting for this game for sooooo long :hyper
:bow Left 4 Dead :bow2
:bow Source :bow2
:bow PC GAMIN :bow2
-
I'll get this on steam unless most of you are going 360.
-
PC version for me.
-
I'll get it on PC, but I really hope it can be made to look a lot better than that. PC gaming, all that power and nothing to use it for. :(
-
Gameplay=YEAHHHHHH
"Amazing Source improvements"=Whatever
-
I really want this but it's probably going to be full price on 360. :\
I kind of wish this was a download game for 40 bucks. I'd be pretty cool with that.
-
I'll be getting this on PC.
If anyone wants to do co-op, I am calling the old guy as my character right now.
-
the mentioned graphical upgrades aren't super noticable but the game looked great when i played it at quakecon and i'll be getting this day one.
-
i will buy this for 360, and then a few months later for pc when the good mods start popping up

I don't notice any graphical upgrades. Still looks like a Half-Life 2 night level.
look at the biker's vest. it's subtle, but there.
-
It kinda looks like a Max Payne 2 mod.

It is if it's from Valve!
-
Can't wait to play this on my Microsoft Xbox 360 Home Video Game Console.
-
Looks like you'll get 10 percent off for preordering at EB, just like with HL2 Orange box:

:bow PC version 44.99 :bow2
But I'll get it on Steam anyway!

For the record: Half Life 2 is my favorite single player game of all time. Portal was amazing. Orange Box is the only game this gen I'd give a 10.
But Valve just fucks up so hard on their release dates on console. HL 2 on XBOX a week before 360 launch. Orange Box in middle of killer 08 period. Now L4D 3 days before Gears2. It will not sell. Why don't they realize they can sell these games in the summer? I understand that the PC market is the primary consideration, but I want Valve to succeed on the 360 so I can get more console games from them.
This game already has enough going against it. It looks like a twitch shooter ill-suited for PC (w/ no footage of 360 to disprove that), and they haven't shown any of the MP, so it looks like a game that is extremely over-priced at $60.

this graphical upgrade looks like shit
-
Looks like ass
-
Who the fuck cares about console versions of VALVe games.
I realize it's fun and games to bash the console version, and that true gamers like you, dfyb, and EviLore are offended at the mere thought of console ports.
To answer your question; obviously, I care. I like Valve games. But I'm done with PC gaming. So I want them to succeed on the 360 version as well as the PC version.
-
man
this graphics is disappointing
which of course, means PS360 will barely be able to handle them

valve console port doesn't offend me. it's just stupid to think of a valve console port as anything more than a quick buck for them. they sold 1.5m console copies of orange box during the "killer 07 period." left4dead will do fine. i don't expect it to sell as much as orange box, but it doesn't have to. it's not like they devoted tons of resources to these ports.

I'll reserve my judgment til me and 3 of you utes are mowing down the horde on steam.
-
It's not pretty, though I did say :bow Source :bow2 before... though Source does mean it should run really well with high AA/AF :-\
It will still kick ass :gun
And I think it will come across better in person.
-
I'm planning on renting a server for this bad boy.
-
I'm excited for any new zombie-related games, especially since they're focusing on multiplayer. How are they going to balance it? I suspect that's one of the things holding up its release.

Remember all the talk about dynamic difficulty in Sin: Episodes? It appeared to be a very granular system that did things like give the enemies helmets if you were scoring too many headshot kills, or giving you less of a certain ammo type if you were kicking ass with it. Seems like it would work for this game too. Subtle dynamic changes in weapon/ammo loadout and environmental items would help to keep it fresh and balanced.

Those boxes are missing the EA logo.
