When I was little I would dream of making a GI Joe SRPG, with vehicles and stuff. Would've been awesome.

As a Huge GI Joe Nerd the Flint/baroness thing is silly

but theres huge sexual tension between them in the animated series (The Gamemaster episode)

and they made out in the comic book series

It's funny, about a year ago I was looking at all the crap that was coming down the pike in games, all the licensed stuff that's basically grabbing a successful game's design and then artswapping for the licensed characters. Suddenly it dawned on me that GI Joe hadn't been updated in eons.

A month or so later I saw that EA announced they're making a GI Joe game (YAY!) but that it's entirely based on the movie (BOO!).  :maf

It's cool that Larry Hama is involved in some respect.

Quote
Moving on to the live-action Joe, film consultant Larry Hama (who also has a cameo as a General) talked about how he came onboard to maintain the feeling of his famous comic book run. Of Hama's involvement, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura laughed saying, "We wanted to have Snake Eyes say one line. He made sure we didn't." This, of course, was met with much applause from the audience.
