Yeah bitches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This and Sweeney Todd are the only two Burton movies I loved. Rock on.
-
I got it on bluray a while back, watching it now. A shame the filter (like 300) kinda detracts from HI DEF but omg awesome movie anyway

That is some high praise and makes me want to watch Sweeney Todd now. Burton is usually terrible.
-
the problem with TB is that his movies are always so obviously his.(with the excpetion of Planet of the Apes)
I dont dig his style too much, Sleepy Hollow is one his better ones though, better than Ed Scissorhands imo. Sweeny Todd was pretty middle of the road, a couple of good songs but overall pretty gay.
oh and Batman Forever & Batman and Robin > Batman & Batman Returns
-
I need to rent it some day then. Last Burton movie I saw was that horrible Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Seriously, fuck you Tim Burton. That movie was incredibly bad.
-
actually in fact I would say that Sleepy Hollow is his best movie. Its the only time where the ott gothicness was actually necessary and used to great effect
-
Sleepy Hollow works because Tim is the kinda guy you'd expect to be the Mayor of such a place.

Sleepy Hollow works because it wasn't made to appeal to fat goth teenagers.
-
Sleepy Hollow works because it's Friday the 13th, except the nubile teenagers are all middle aged and wearing tri-corner hats. What an amazing concept.
Love that movie.

Meridian. Blue greeeeen.

Not without its flaws, but I enjoyed it.
Ed Wood is still my favorite Burton film.
-
Tim Burton Presents: Tim Burton, A Tim Burton Film
ain't nothing wrong with that :bow
I love the look and atmosphere of Burton's films. don't care what haterz say :punch
-
I liked Edward Scissorhands and also enjoyed Nightmare Before Christmas, but most of his films aren't that great and a good bunch suck. Beetlejuice is something I can only watch once every 2 years or something. I thought Ed wood was alright, but it was also really boring. Batman was decent, so was Returns, neither was anything great. Planet of the Apes was awful. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was awful. Big Fish sucked. Sleepy Hollow is awesome. Pee-Wee was great. Mars Attack wasn't awful. Still need to watch Corpse Bride and Sweeney Todd.
-
There's no denying it, although often his films display a gothy atmosphere differently (Sweeny Todd vs Sleepy Hollow).
-
And it's just boring. Definitely one of the most disappointing films I've ever seen. Nightmare is one of my favorite films, and while I didn't expect Corpse Bride to be "similar" I had high hopes for the music. The score is very forgettable.
:-\

Sweeney Todd is quite good, and I rarely ever go in for singing.
I can't tell you how many times I've watched the Blu-ray.
-
Sleepy Hollow has some of the best (and most numerous) decapitations committed to film. Plus Christopher Walken.
-
oh and Batman Forever & Batman and Robin > Batman & Batman Returns
what the holy shit die pls.
-
Watched it the other night. It's probably my favorite Tim Burton/Johnny Depp combo. The atmosphere in the movie is great. The character is a bit goofy, but John model it after the old b/w & Hammer horror movies. Also I really enjoyed the soundtrack to this movie. I sound like a fan boy, but eh. I like old horror movies and this fits in there for me.
Good stuff imo. Even my 4yr old loves it. :lol
-
seems like a movie too violent for 4 year olds, but considering just how badass your son is I say no harm done. the boy will be the leader of the resistance one day :bow
