-

http://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/01/27/windows-vista-ultimate-business-enterprise-home-premium-and-basic-editions-features-comparison-and-matrix/
-
ugh
thats pissta
-
What are you trying to prove?
-
Mac gaming sucks?
-
What are you trying to prove?
Why dont you just tell me if its worth paying the extra $100 for pro?
I cant tell that there is any reason I should get pro over home.
-
You should get home. Don't you like home?
Home
-
kind of late in the game to be buying xp. if all you want it for is boot camp, get home edition. it'll play games fine.
if you want a breakdown of all the features to see details, um google?
-
You should get Home...-O
Homo. Get it?

Thats pretty much all of the detail I was looking for. I looked at the matrix on MS literature but its too much marketing speak to know if I was going to be missing something critical for gaming by going with home vs pro.
I really just want to play supreme commander ;)
-
MAF - serious question - are you dyslexic?
-
I looked at the matrix
All I see is blonde, brunette, redhead...
-
Vista is kinda fine for games, pretending it isnt is kinda sad

I'm sure he has his reasons.
-
Yeah, im sure.
-
Only game I had problems with on Vista is the Stranglehold demo.
-
MAF I dont know why you always think I have a hidden agenda. I just do not know so I ask - which is more than I can say for most who pretend to know about many things and never learn.
I would rather get Vista. Last time I talked to anyone about it (months ago) the word was that it had issues with legacy games - and I do like the old stuff too.
Is there any generation of titles that do not run well in Vista? olde x86 DOS / win3.1 stuff doesn't matter because I run that kinda loot in DOSBOX OS X today. rogue.exe <3 ZZT etc
When Iwent out earlier they didnt have the XP I needed. They just had the pro upgrades not home or pro.
So now I guess ill just buy Vista unless their is some major impasse that someone hasnt mentioned...
This thread wasnt a MSFT voodo doll but its funny you care.
Sorry about the dyslexic comment - but I didnt get wtf you were getting at till I saw your additional propaganda.
-
pro adds domain and active directory support. just get home unless you're going to be connecting to a domain.
vista is perfectly fine, though, if you have 2GB or more RAM.
-
If you dont have 2gb of ram im not sure why youre pc gaming
