Post by: MrAngryFace on July 25, 2008, 04:51:24 PM
Even when I made crap 7.50 an hour at Staples I wouldnt use em. Just thinking about the idea of a coupon bums me out.

Same.  No respectable 1/100 millionaire would use one.

The best are the ones that come covered in frozen food.

When you are spending easily over $100/week, and most grocery stores double the coupons up to $1, you can easily save $50 or more a month. Don't hate.

nothing is worse than waiting in line behind "the guy who pays for everything with coupons and change"

and half of his coupons are usually out of date too, but he'll act surprised and then try to same scam at another store  :-\

coupons are for scum. this old lady pulled out a 5 for $10 stouffers meal coupon at qfc yesterday, and i fuckin' coldcocked her on the spot. the police came, but when they saw she was using coupons, they let me off with a warning and a wink. later, i saw them roughing her up in the parking lot. it's the new confucianism: white collar->blue collar->mexicans->coupon users.

 :piss Coupons :piss2
:piss People who use coupons :piss2

When working retail, one of my bigger pet peeves were people who handed me coupons after the transaction was finished and then got pissed when I couldn't just give them money for them.  Store policy was that you had to use them in the same transaction as when you bought the item.

That and check writers.

I hate people who dont cut them out beforehand. Instead trying to rip or carve them out at the register.

You guys are lucky, there's not really any such thing as coupons for getting groceries cheaper here.

I'd use them constantly if they existed.  :(

visible coupon use short-circuits my near-perfect checkout aisle selection algorithm faster than BOTH children and race.  I've never seen a coupon user go through a stack and actually select the correct products, resulting in mass confusion and overrides at the checkout line.

Why is it embarrassing to use coupons?
Anyway, we have this big supermarket (Colruyt) where I just give my 'Extra' card and every product that has an active coupon the amount is subtracted. Don't have to bring along all those coupons, also easier for the cashier. Still get sent the coupons, but it's to advertise which products they are on.
