The PC version is a waste of $30. The community is basically dead. The few players that are still around, are too damn good for me to do anything.
How's the game doing on the 360?
-
Nobody is playing this because its shit
-
The gameplay ain't nothing special but the graphics are so pretty. I just wanna play vehicle CTF for a couple of weeks but there are hardly any games going on.
-
if it's dead on pc, i don't see how 360/ps3 would be any better.
-
I rented it for 360 to play the co-op campaign with a friend. I've yet to do that, though. I haven't even bothered trying online because I'm sure no one plays. It seems like an okay game, but meh.
-
I picked it up last week and finally had a chance to try it last night. Plenty of people playing; more than on the PS3 and keep in mind I'm in a timezone and area of the world where this game hasn't even been released. Feels smoother than the PS3 version, but the controller seems weird. Need to play around with the settings I guess.

this is sad to hear. I was looking to get it, just waiting for more players to buy this before i do.
:/
does teh 360 version accept kb+m plug in? like, the normal USB third party ones?
-
The primary selling points of the PS3 version were the "mods" (as if maps and the odd new model should count as a mod) and the kb+m support, but I don't know... UT at sub-60fps doesn't feel right. Then again, UT3 doesn't feel like it has much of a reason to exist, really. Updated graphics, some new game modes, but it's really old hat for anyone who has played UT2k4.
That, and I really don't think UT needed the "grungification."
-
The best part about the PS3 version was how good the aiming controls were with the controller. I bought it hoping that UT3 would get mods similar to those founds in UT2k4, but instead there is a 2D mod and a Snowboarding mod and a bunch of other levels for the core game. It got boring fast. Downloading levels and models was a bit cool. The most fun there was in the game was jetpacks in one of those giant bedrooms.
-
:lol Someone made a "giant room" level for the PS3 version? I remember when I started fiddling around with UnrealEd way back when, the first custom map I came across was a "giant bathroom" map.
-
generally, those are referred to as "rats_" maps
-
Yeah, I used to play on de_rats a lot in Counter-Strike back in the day. I really like those maps.
