Title: Gears 2 - Linked Achievements

Gears of War 2 made an appearance at the Comic-Con today and some interesting news was dropped, announcing that Gears 2 would get “linked achievements”. What exactly is a “linked achievement”? Well simply put, things you achieved in the first Gears of War game will have an affect on your play through the much anticipated sequel. Cliffy B gave some examples of what he meant by linked achievements:

- Complete Act One in Gears Of War, unlock a playable Anthony Carmine in Gears of War 2
- Find 10 COG tags in Gears Of War, unlock Minh Young Kim in Gears of War 2
- Kill Raam in Gears Of War, unlock a playable Raam in Gears of War 2


Wow... Xbox does what Sony don't

Time to replay on Insane... anyone in?

Apparently the Gears movie won't necessarily feature 'buff' bodybuilder characters like the game.

I never understood the demographic that buys the "super awesome edition" of every major game release. I know some of you are kids, and that's fine, but this group is also comprised of adults. Are there adults that keep these replica weapons/posters/cat helmets/action figures in there houses as some kind of trophy, and aren't living up to their basement dweller stereotype?

I think a lot of adults would get it if it just shot water and made chainsaw sfx.

This video has a glimpse of what you will be getting.  It also seems like it is Amazon only just like the super special Fallout 3 one with the pipboy is.  I guess retailers don't want to deal with the space or something.

After getting the Legendary edition of Halo 3, I got turned off of this shit for good, especially because Halo 3 wasn't amazing or anything.  Ok, I might whore again if Nintendo had a replica of the Master Sword or Hyrulian Shield, but they wouldn't do that.
