I was thinking about this while I read an article about jobs being scaled back from full-time to part-time. The guy is basically saying how he is scaling back his life and whatnot to keep up with the drop in monthly income.
Then I thought, you know, MMORPGs are like 15-18 a month, dsl is like 40 and like, wtf else do you need if money is tight anyway. I mean a person can get by eating very little if they have a multi-vitamin. Staying in everynight reduces gas requirements and the money spent while hanging out.
Thats not a horrible way to go. I mean if I was working retail again id be into WoW all over again.

WoW and alcohol a way to forget the hard times.

The shitty economy isn't really affecting me much, thankfully, but I have a big backlog, so I haven't been buying as many games this year... I say catching up on your backlog is even better for people who don't wanna spend money.

why does it have to be an MMO
it can be anyuthing with online MP
like shooters

Because nothing veils banal repetition better than an MMO.

I'm pretty sure mmorpgs are not good for anyone in any situation.
