Second episode premiered tonight:

I felt it was a largely transitional episode. The writers also decided to move away from the Strike Team problems and move towards the usual BS that the Farm has to deal with. I guess that was needed. The past few seasons have been so heavy leaning towards the Strike Team that a lot of characters get ignored.
- The trash talking kid that got Claudette to call him a nigga.
- Danny and Tina having a fight. I half expected them to pounce on each other. I'm sure something will go down between those two soon.
- Vic's worthless daughter trying to press charges against him.
It wasn't as good as the premiere but I could see the episodes following from it be pretty good.
I feel pretty much the same way as Experiment. spoiler (click to show/hide)
Why is every woman in Vic's life such a bitch?
it was a fucking good episode. the show has a nice variety of characters and it's good that they have episodes like this to take advantage of that.

and it was obvious that vic's daughter would do something like that. she JUST found out all the bad shit he did. she did a lexus-nexus or whatever report (legal background check) in the last season and found out about his police brutality charges. and then she just saw and heard about the new drama with the armenian hit squads and vendrell's wife being tied up and gagged. she definitely hates what her father does but I think she'll forgive him enough to not want him behind bars by the end of the series.
also, it's interesting how much money vic asked the cartel boss for at the end of the episode. I think that he's planning to move his family out of town or out of the country after he finishes up the armenian-mexican war.
Season 7.3 Impressions

I thought it was a good episode. A lot of shit was done and undone, adding even more chaos to the season.
- It is obvious that Vic and Shane are so far in over their heads that Ronnie finally spoke up about it. He was the guy that went along with everyone, from grilling Armadillo's face, to the money train, to saving Shane from Antwon, Shane killing Lem, etc. The fact that he is now backing out is a pretty telling sign. I agree with Ronnie though. Vic and Shane are beyond fucked. Every time they try to clean up one mess, they get two more.
- That horndog porn producer grabbing Paula Garces' tits. Great work!
- I thought the whole Dutch involvement seem put upon, like trying to throw back to the earlier episodes of The Shield when Dutch wanted nothing more than to bend Danny over the table. At least it was somewhat return to form for Dutch, who went from mediocre detective back to his old ways. They even had an Asian girl as a victim, which, of course, if you know about Season 1, it was very similar. I consider it a homage, even if it was unintentional.
- Shane is still the lying scumbag that he is. I can easily see that Shane or Mara will fuck Vic over in the end. What else do they have to lose? I can't see Vic getting shot by a Mexican or Armenian hit man so I imagine Shane's backstabbing will seal Vic's fate. Shane is too stupid and will probably find his life cut short with a bullet.
- Vic's daughter shoving the useless Corinne around. Then even when Vic stands up to her, useless Corinne kicks Vic out. I know Cassidy is Vic's daughter in real life but the only difference between them visually is that she has hair.
I expect 7.4 to step up the manic pace of the show. Vic and Shane keep getting entangled in the spider web and maybe Dutch will finally fuck Danny.
Season 7.4 premiered yesterday. Apparently I'm the only EB member that is watching this show. Oh well, keeping it alive:

- Vic's daughter is getting really annoying. I could see her talking to the wrong person but so far, anyone who can dish up dirt on Vic hasn't told her anything. Maybe she will run away and get shot somewhere.
- The Mexican vs. Armenian situation is officially out of control.
- Dutch's character is trying to return to the old days.
I thought it was kind of a boring episode.
Episode 7.5 Impressions

- A decent episode. I noticed they are trying to bring back pretty much a lot of significant events from the series over the years. This time, it was Kleavon. It didn't add much to the plot but I considered it more of a homage to previous seasons, to let the viewers know that the season is just not about the Strike Team.
- The Strike Team has taken more of a backseat role in these past couple episodes. Instead of all hell breaking loose, everything remains calm. I don't expect that to last. In fact, I could see next episode dealing with payback.
- Cassidy being the Pimps and Hos party organizer along with securing drugs :lol At first, I thought she was going to uncover Vic's dealings in greater depth but she is fucking up enough on her own to where I don't expect that to happen anymore.
- The return of Deena, another homage to previous seasons (1 and 2)
That was one of the better episodes this season. I especially liked how Dutch was handling Ted Bundy jr.

I was always suspicious of that ICE agent though. I wonder how much Vic is going to push her for help in taking down Pezuela.
I do think that the Kleavon thing is going to make wyms seriously consider retirement.
