I'm not, really. That's the only CLAMP property I like, and I adore it.  The manga, mostly...the movie was okay, and the anime...not so much.

It's about a space-time witch (Yuuko above) of mysterious origin who owns a shop full of magical curios from who-knows-where-or-when and her boy-servant Watanuki.  It's fairly episodic, and it usually involves a desperate/flawed customer buying an item from Yuuko to solve some problem in their lives. They use (or misuse) the item despite Yuuko's warnings, and some fate befalls them that serves as allegory for some aspect of human nature. Yuuko obviously knows her stuff and is pretty powerful, but she's also lazy and an alcoholic. Watanuki is kind of the standard loser type, but the comedy around his being pathetic isn't the focus. 

It's escapist, but I like the mystical stuff and the Tales from the Crypt-ish themes.  The art is gorgeous, too - it's all art nouveau-ish inky blacks and outlines with little shading.

I want to use it but I don't think "stoic" is the right word for him but there's something about the character that I just find fucking awesome.

I don't know why, but Osaka-chan gives me the impression of an animu Ralph Wiggum, without the inherent quotability.

My choice? Rukia Kuchiki. So awesome and funny at times.  :-*

Trigun has a lot of awesome characters.  I actually want to try watching it again.  Last time I did was like 2 years ago.  I also need to watch Gungrave again.

I watched Trigun a year or so ago and I remember it still being really good, but suffering from some major animation problems in numerous episodes that are quite glaring.

The first half of Gungrave rocks. Disregard the 2 starting episodes though, you'll see why. The 2nd half is cool too but it just gets way out there.

Ops, somehow missed the part where you stated you "need to watch it again" lol. But yeah, great anime. I love the non over the top take on the Mafioso culture during the past segments.
