I just watched this week's episode and I'm not sure what took them so long, but looks like the boys are finally hitting their stride.  Great stuff!

Favorite line: "If that was a woman, I'd marry it."  "And I'd jeopardize our friendship by nailing your hot wife." :lol

There was really so much great quotable stuff.

yeah this season has been hit or miss for me

Dr. Venture: Wait Brock, we have to go back.
Brock: What?!
Dr. Venture: He's family, Brock, and he's in trouble. He needs us.
Brock: [stares at Doc for a second] Pssh, get the fuck out of here!
Dr. Venture: Ha, ha! Had you going for a minute there, didn't I?
Brock: Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Dr. Venture: Had you going!

The show's a bit like mid-late Arrested Development right now, where your enjoyment of an episode is directly proportional to how much you geek out over humorous continuity.

Luckily for me, it makes me geek out A LOT.

I'd agree that this season has been a bit more more hit and miss.  They've seemed a more concerned with continuity and world building than with comedy and awesomeness.  It's still worth watching when you're a fan of the show, and there have been some very good bits.
I haven't watched this week's ep yet, I'm looking forward to it.

Finale was pretty sad and twisted.  So many open plot threads from the season and a year to wait for new episodes arhg;slkhdgs;klgs.

Yeah, the wait 'till next season is ridiculous after everything they've unloaded on us just in the past four to three episodes alone.

I might have thought that about most of the first part of this season, but not the last few.  They had some pretty funny moments.  Though maybe I was just more compelled by the plot in them.

Major plot points I'd like to see resolved:

Brock's son
Dean + Treana (unlikely and possibly lulzier as it is)
I'm not too worried about Brock's career move.
