Title: omfg fellow Phoenix Wright fegs, I beat PW3 last night

So sosososososooso awesome. Best final case of the ever. Best PW game by a lonnnng mile.

I started Apollo Justice. Getting use to the new cast an all o' dat.

But it's got Ema fucking Skye!!!!

And yeah the last case of PW3 is awesome, wicked how all 3 games are tied up in one super case. I really like Godot too

Seriously, at several points he'll actually start asking questions for the defense because Apollo was too stupid to do it. In fact, Trucy and Klavier are easily better defense attorneys than Apollo, so it kinda makes your accomplishments feel tainted since they help you so much.

4 is just an overall weak entry that went absolutely nowhere, 2 was even worse though and only served as a "to be continued" for the third, which only redeeming thing was the final case

1 was just nice and tight, and had THE best final case out of all of them

The gameplay is better.

In 1 it is like you are just randomly looking for clues to trigger the next trial. It was pretty poor even by adventure game standards. The introduction of psyche locks made the gameplay more interesting because you not only had to use the clues you find in trials, but also outside of trials to precede.

I also enjoyed the trials over all, a lot more. Cases 1-3 in PW2 out weigh majority of PW1. In PW1, only cases 4 and 5 are remotely memorable. I can't remember anything from cases 1-3 at all except that Mia dies. I can remember all the cases in PW2 because they actually had impact on me.

Also, iirc, PW1 had the most distinguished mentally-challenged "Mia comes to save Phoenix in the middle of a trial" things in the series. PW2 and 3 improves that.

I think as the series progresses the gameplay gets better, less trial and error, and the cases overall become better over time too. The only thing I prefer in PW1 over the others is music.

Yeah, 2's music is easily the worst in the series.

I'm liking AJ's music A LOT. The fact it was made exclusively for ds makes the music quality sound tons better.

Kristoph was so poorly underdeveloped. I couldn't tell if they were just lazy or they were trying to set up for a sequel or what.

So... WHY did you go through with all this incredibly elaborate plot?

Kristoph: "I HATE ZAK BECAUSE HE SAID I WAS BAD AT POKER AND PHOENIX IS DUMB AND MY PERFECT RECORD"

What perfect record? You're not von Karma obsessed with perfection, you're just incredibly vain. Which reminds me, how did a pampered German like you get a scar like that on your hand. And why do you have a bunch of unbreakable black Psyche-Locks just for, "I killed some dudes and forged evidence"?

Suddenly switching to a different case, with different graphics and sounds was so weird. Especially the disparity between the quality of the sprites.

they are the only sympathetic murderers in the series and I felt really bad giving them a sentence or exposing them, because they had natural, humanistic intentions.

The gameplay in AA4 is so awesome. It's like they finally found the sweet spot. The ds capabilities add so much to the puzzle solving, and the puzzle solving itself feels very natural like a western adventure game rather than the often obtuse puzzle solving in eastern adventure games.
