There's a difference in how it's used. Some people just can't be trusted to use offensive words in a humorous manner, which is why there are word filters at all. Given the general low intelligence of some of our newer members, the decision was made to filter the word as opposed to banning the idiots. Sadly.

I actually agree. I think it's just an easy way to lazily moderate a forum. If some words are to be verboten or not to be used in certain ways, use the banhammer.
