What a beautiful movie. Beautiful story, and the main dude is a really good actor, i wonder why i haven't seen him in other movies.

So wait, it's a martial arts movie with David Mamet as director, and it also has Tim Allen in it?

Check the trailer if you must, i advise going blind into the movie, you'll thank me later.

Tim Allen plays an actor, and Mamet also wrote the script, it's a great story.

I've been purposely avoiding this for all the effusive (and half-incoherent) praise that rushed from the fingertips of the users at Sherdog upon its release. I assumed that since it was released around the same time as Never Back Down that Redbelt was designated by default as the "good" MMA movie seeing as Hollywood isn't exactly prolific in the genre. Is there at least something that resembles a plot?

Dude, the movie is all about the story. If you expect to find an action movie here, you won't.
