smh, learn to statistics
I don't think it has gone down. With the internet, access to porn is easier than ever. I wouldn't doubt that some people haven't looked at porn in the past year but 1987 should not be the peak. It should be the late 90s or early 00s.I know I certainly am!The percentage of 18-30 year olds who are liars in the last year:

If it is anything like learn to english, I'm there.
Now let's see one for the 13-17 age grouphaha
you quoted the percentage of people who DID claim to have watched porn. THEY'RE telling the truth. :)
I know I certainly am!More porn is being consumed today, but that's not the issue here: The issue is whether more people are watching porn today. (the distinction is subtle)
I find it incredibly hard to believe that that high a percentage of people haven't watched porn in the last year.Honestly, do you expect me to believe that you know the porn viewing habits of every single person you know.
I don't think I know anyone, male or female, who hasn't seen porn in the last year.

It should be the late 90s or early 00s.The only explanation is that more people are lying. Why would more people lie now than twenty years ago. Porn was more taboo twenty years ago; if anything, people would have been more likely to lie about it in the past.
Bullshit. Is this survey not taking the internet into account or something?Internet viewing is included. According to Nielsen data, which isn't self reported data, 3/4 of internet users don't visit porn sites.
Fast download speeds, bigger hard drives, better resolution? COME ON. We all really know why these things are getting better. ;)

It's also not like you have to go to a porn site to see pornography on the internet.
I flat out don't believe this shit. Porn is omnipresent in the modern world, I can't escape it and I don't want to.
Out of all the sites I check on the internets, over 50% are porn

As I wrote earlier, porn viewers probably consume more porn than porn viewers of the 80's. That, however, doesn't mean there are more porn viewers.

If I am to think along these lines, I will think myself a fiend! I prefer to believe the respondents in the actual research were liars :p

Are internet users who don't even go to porn sites going to use newsgroups or torrents?

Forget that, I am talking about all the "humor" or sites like Maxim and such that have porn or near-porn stuff all over them. You can find porn on a search engine site too. Is Google a porn site?
I've looked at porn once this year. I can believe it.
i remember when "porn" meant "finding my brother's penthouse stash"

I remember them old days when a pair of tits would be enough. I miss those days.
QuoteThe sample size is over 25,000 people, which is a fairly large sample. Unless the GSS changed its methodology in the last twenty years, there's no reason to say the study is flawed.
here's where it turns out it's 25k Priests or men/women working in parishes.
I guess the only explanation I could think of then is that all the porn viewers congregate in the same areas
The article didn't explain the factors that caused porn viewing to drop.
why are they still not showing pussy on tv
