I was reading the TMNT 1989 arcade game thread and that made me recall the Simpsons arcade... which got me to thinking. There was a lot of great arcade titles that have never seen a home port. If you could have console/XBLA/PSN/WiiWare downloadables of any 5 arcade games, which would they be?
(runner-up) Polybius (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polybius_%28game%29)
5. Daytona II
4. Progear
3. ESP Ra.De.
2. Outfoxies
1. ESPGaluda II
-
you can play progear on yer hacked psp
-
It came out in Europe I think, but Police 911 (aka Police 24/7). I want Konami to release it on PSN with PS Eye and Guncon 3 support.
-
1. Sega Super GT/Scud Race
2. Daytona USA 2
3. Martial Masters
4. Both Hyper Neo-Geo Samurai Shodown titles
5. X-Men/Simpsons (Konami)
More recently, I'd like to see Sega Race USA get a console release.

Police 911

The Simpsons arcade game had a really shoddy PC port.

Samurai Shodown II :'(
also Aliens vs Predator would be fun.

Capcom's The Punisher beat-em-up.
Sega's Naomi-powered Lupin the 3rd light gun shooter.
After Burner Climax, 2Spicy, and Sega's Jurassic Park light gunners. And the many, many more decent-to-great light gun shooters that never saw a deserving home on a console.

I'd die for Super Off Road with steering wheel compatibility.

And before someone says (like they always do) "bu bu bu bu the arcade machine had endlessly-spinning steering wheels and it wouldn't be the same", I live in reality, not your smartass fucked-up head.

Speaking of Sega, how could I have forgotten OLLIE KING?? :'(

PLUS there was an official PC port (released Stateside) and it's also on the Wii VC (at least in Japan).

As much as I do detest saying that a game should be on the Wii, I still do think that Ollie King should be on the Wii so it can have the option to use the Wii Fit board.

Oh yeah, how could I forget After Burner Climax? Hell, it actually has a license for my company.
