Had to do run times while trying out for a soccer team. I don't remember what the requirement was but by the end of the season I was doing 6:00. Couldn't keep the pace for more than 4 miles though
I haven't run in ages though, and with my injury I doubt I'll pick it up anytime soon.
Last time I tried was in 9th grade or something. I was a lazy ass in High School and always ditched out when they required you to do it. I'll try again some day.

That at least makes sense compared to Cajole's case. Soccer players have pretty amazing endurances. They basically run at almost full speed for more than an hour.
I dont think ive ever run an entire mile. Whats the point? Where am I going?

It's a great way to burn off a belly. But jogging would do the same trick

training for soccer -and- rugby in the season overlap was disgusting.
~ sprint to the half way line in soccer, jog back until the trainer decides you've had enough
~ sprint/hit tackle bag every 5 meters or so to the half way line, then jog back until the trainer decided you've had enough

offie? the office? thats 20 miles...even as the cajole flies id be looking at a little over 2 hours.
Who cares about endurance? I can take any of you in a short dash race. For someone who was lazy and out of shape, I was (and think I still am) surprisingly fast when it came to short sprints.
i'll take you
i was fast in elementary school, bitch
why would I want to take you in a race? Ive got a nice car that goes faster than you.

I could run about a 4:50 in highschool. My cancer survivor father in law can still run a sub 5 :'(

It was mandatory for my PE class. There was no choice! If you ran slower than a 10 min mile then you do it again the next week. :yuck

After jogging for about three miles, I jumped on a high school dirt track and ran a pretty sad 7:16. I has a hard time gaining or maintaining a decent speed because I'm not used to running a fast pace. I also shouldn't have had that Big Mac meal earlier. :-X
So this is the time to get laidas you know from your 6:15, running a half decent mile won't get you laid.
But that's when I had the best shot:'(
multiple shots, even :(
Currently, I'm not overweight (5'11" 165 lbs.). I tend to yo-yo because I don't jog during the cold, Canadian, winter months. How is that even close to resembling overweight? I'm the same height and I weight between 175 and 185. ???
