Title: Iron Maiden VS Judas Priest

Yeah, inspired by the GAF Metal Wars thread. What's EB's opinion?

This one is a bit hard to compare. They both have a lot of awesomeness going on for them, neither really has released anything like Metallica w/ St Anger. So. yeah.

Judas Priest is more balls to the wall, more simple and to the point. But still really good rocken music, stuff you don't have to think to much about when rocking it out.

Iron Maiden is more technical, smart metal, with awesome live shows and high energy lead singer.

Both bands put on really good live shows. But, when it comes down to it, I pick Iron Maiden. I'm a damn fan boy for Maiden, the guitars/bass and Bruces voice do it for me. :bow2

Maiden without a doubt. Never could get into Priest, from what I've heard of them.

I'm not big on either, but of the two, Iron Maiden is clearly better.

Maiden, although I'm not really fond of either. Does anyone have that clip of extremely early Judas Priest (before anyone had even heard of them) where they are all dancing around in flowery robes with hippie hair? Halford was super thin. I saw it on VH1 once during some documentary.

The sad fact is that both bands are well passed their prime and need to hang up the boots. Neither Dickinson nor Halford can sing for shit anymore and their new albums are terrible. I understand why they are still doing it, but for they need to stop.

That's funny, since Dickinson is a better live performer nowadays than he was in the 80's. And leper trippingmartian :maf
