Does this mean you are planning a Windows version of "Gears of War 2"?
Cliff: Gears of War is a great franchise first and foremost for Xbox 360, and therefore we're focusing on that platform for Gears of War 2. We've decided we're not going to do a PC version this time around.

:rofl

:( but it makes sense considering how poorly UT3 sold on the PC.
Oh well, at least I don't have to hear Sfags lie about playing Gears 2 on their PCs.

Cliffy B: "We're happy making more money developing crappier games for crappier systems."

It'd have been awesome to see Gears 2 run on a high-end PC.
Gears 1's engine actually dynamically adjusts to the hardware specs. The more the PC, the more effects are generated.
That's why some people with low-end GPUS experience smooth gameplay while some pretty powerful systems experience lots of hitching and stuttering.
I had the stuttering problem with my 8800GTXes but now they're gone with the 280GTX. I guess the stuttering was due to the engine trying to make the 8800s do more than they could really do.

Makes sense. The people who really want to play gears are going to play it on 360 anyway.
-
What he means is that thanks to
pirates PC gamers, Gears 1 was a waste of money, so it's better to focus 100% on the profitable console sequel
-
Yeah right.

I still don't buy that Gears 2, Halo Wars, or even Fable 2 won't be on PC. I am still expecting Halo 3 on PC around when Halo 4 is announced.

Sure. But it won't matter anymore like it did for Halo 2 PC.

I don't care about what the masses accept or not, but a 60 fps Halo 3 with AA would be pretty cool.
-
nah, not really

with 16 player co-op :drool

Its a console game anyway. Best way to play Gears 1 on PC is to use a 360 pad.
I was initially pissed at all my favorite PC developers jumping to consoles, but i have given in. If this is what it takes for them to keep on making games, so be it.

Can't wait to play this on my PC... shit. :'(

That's a shame. I tried playing Gears for the 360 again, and it feels so clunky and smudgy compared to the PC version.
