Friday afternoon:  "Man, I'm gonna take the opportunity this three-day weekend provides, and really get some things done.  I'll write a to-do list, and cross off each task as I finish it."

Monday afternoon:  playing an old Xbox game for the zillionth time, entire list cross-free

I was hoping to use my sick time to catalog my enourmous toy collection, so as to take a step towards selling it, but instead I've been sitting here staring at the "bore, and at best will go back to playing Too Human.

I've been pretty good about separating game time and research/writing time.  It helps to keep a budget and decide what games I will even purchase like, six months out.  Then I'll devote a chunk of time to playing and split it up on the weekends.  I just got done reading two books that way, while in the midst of playing Castle Crasher and whatnot.

i'm like that except i don't even get around to playing games.  i just spend all day on the stupid internet  :punch

That's when I feel I've had the most wasteful weekend.  At least gaming whittles down my backlog so I'm accomplishing something.
