I found something called FairUse WIzard, which seems to be "one-click." You can rip straight from DVDs or ISO files to xvid. Trying ti out now, will let you know how it works. I've tried AutoGK in the past and found it a bit too complex for my simple cromag brain.

Bumping this to say to those who might be interested that Fairuse Wizard is very simple, and rocks. Three or four clicks and you're done.

if you want 5.1 AC3 support on your conversions, be sure you download the latest version of AC3Filter (AC3 Audio Decoder) - http://www.codecs.com/AC3_Filter_download.htm first, then set it up as follows:
AC3Filter Configuration a. Start/Programs/AC3Filter/AC3Filter Config b. Click Ok c. Main Tab - Under Output format, specify “AS IS / NoChange” d. System Tab – Check Use AC3Filter for All e. System Tab – Check “Prefer AC3Filter”
Fairuse doesn't have AC3 support built in.
