Do these anarchists not have lives or jobs? Why preach peace if you're going to react with violence?
-
Good ol' fashioned protesting, that's what that is.
-
Awesome.
-
After all the Republican Party has done for us the past eight years, breaking some benches and windows is the least we could do!
-
They protested at the DNC too, but not like this. They were saving up all their spit n vinegar for the RCN I spose haha.
-
The DNC gave them thir own special
cages er... I mean protest area.
-
Reminds me of that Arrested Development episode where they made the people protest in their cage

That's not even the funniest part about that scene

It's when her mom drives by and yells at her. :lol
-
violent protest is unfortunate
this spirit of 68 stuff got too many people riled up, i think
-
were any rubber bullets fired
it's always funny to see footage of those bouncing off idiot's skulls
-
What has protesting ever accomplished?
Specifically, what has peaceful protesting every accomplished? It's mighty popular to throw in the old "violent protesters ruin everything for the peaceful ones," but historical precedence supports that violence nets more result than simply singing and handing out shitty flyers.
-
^Exactly. Where do you think the saying "a government should be afraid of its people" came from? Certainly not from the hand holding peace mongers.
-
Ghandi *smh*

I don't think the hardcore anarchists that do this sort of thing are the "Let's get a job!" sort of people.

They are more the Noam Chomsky wage slavery type
-
haha aweosme

yeah it really is awesome when cops beat up protesters (including nonviolent ones), deny them medical care, and hold them for days on bullshit charges. it's also really great that they're detaining journalists too. and they won't even get into trouble for it, either! fuck you guys.

I wonder if my friend Anarchist Frank got arrested? He's Canadian tho, so he's probably safe. Probably.
-
my friend works with SDS DC who had a contingent going out for their Funk the War street dance. he made a banner for them which read "Youth is a Weapon and We Are Armed To the Teeth."
that's pretty bad ass
the police maced the people carrying it and then stole the banner

is it awesome like when a bunch of idiots who probably couldn't even tell you what they're protesting break windows and destroy property and cause physical harm to others for no good reason
yeah, cops are pigs until they're jackhammering the dude who just threw a park bench through your store window because anarchy woooooooooooooo

yes because reports of protesters acting violently are never overblown. i'm sure all 200+ people arrested for legitimate reasons.

you're right, i'm sure they're all just misunderstood candidates for sainthood
generalization: the game everyone can play, and win
