Title: Jeezy's new album (The Recession)

I just started this out, but so far "Welcome Back" is a nice track w/ a great beat. Of course it's typical Jeezy, deep badass beats that just gets your head bouncing, and his basic flows. Good shit so far.
anyone else scope it out yet?

MAH AMBITIONZ AS A HUSTLA. Somewhere 2pac is rolling in his grave. To be fair I've only heard four tracks but it sounds like more of the same typical Jeezy. Simple brainless rhymes with an okay beat. I've never exactly been a fan so that's not a good thing for me

I'll check this out, but Jeezy's more recent stuff before this was almost as bad as Soulja Boy.

OUCH! I agree, Jeezy's flows are simple. But at least he has a flow. Soulja Boy (Tell em) has nothing. He's not rap, he's crap-hop. Someone shoot him.
Jeezy's beats to me have always been awesome, I really enjoy his choice of beats. I believe w/ out them he would be worth shit to me.

Jeezy has a flow? That's news to me. My problem with Jeezy is that he's unable to switch up his style, and lyrically he's an absolute joke. Coke rap can be very entertaining when it's presented for what it is: story telling. Jeezy approaches the subject from a super hero perspective where he's this untouchable drug dealer who can do no wrong. Even Jay-Z shows depth, there's no excuse. If I want that type of hip hop I'll stick to Ghostface/Rae, both of whom represent a more human aspect of the genre where paranoia and fear run deep and getting shot in the ass is a occupational hazard.

I heard some of this in the car with a friend... some tracks sounded pretty hard. Black President was lol.

What do you mean? Would I be right in assuming you look at rap as simply disposable music, whereas you might feel more connected to other genres?

Figured as much. There are a lot of people who feel like that, and it seems to contribute to the horrible sales the genre gets overall
