I think it's great fun, but i can't believe this is what pandemic turned out after 3 years. must have been some development hell or something.
i still have the first mercs game sitting around in shrink wrap somewhere :-\
Wait for Just Cause 2.

"Connection failed. The player you are attempting to play with is in a different region than this one."

I wonder why EA bought them...is it just because they were forced to when they bought BioWare?I believe Bioware and Pandemic had already joined forces back in 2005 and I don't believe EA could have simply selected to buy one of them for that reason. It was all or nothing.
I'm actually curious why they bought BioWare AND pandemic....both of them have very low outputs.

First one got old as soon as I tried most of the vehicles. It never really felt like I had any effect on the world. Will this one be the same? Just Cause was the same way.
Pandemic is like one of those Gearbox companies that has six games in dev at once and you never see any of them really mature.
They had this, Dark Knight, Saboteur, and I think one other project in development.
Mercs 2, everything stays how you leave it when you play.Really? So if you destroy a structure somewhere earlier in the game it will remain as such throughout? If so, that's pretty awesome.
Everything before The Clone Wars is new to me, but everything after I played and enjoyed. You might like Battlezone 2. I LOVED the 1998 Battlezone game and the sequel wasn't bad either. It's a shame the "straction" genre died off so quickly. It really was a beautiful mix of RTS and shooting gameplay. Modern day technology could really enhance the concept even further.

Yeah, you can make it so any game you start single player is joinable by your friends, or anyone, or no one.
holy fucking shit i think im gonna have an aneurysm from this game. i am on the eva driving mission and everytime i take the ramp and use jump it flips my vehicle :maf :maf
yup, really close to throwing my controller
I guess the % completed is based off of characters joined, the missions are a small percentage each. So the game is apprently longer than it lets on. Id guess 10-15 hours if you dont fuck around too much. I tend to fuck around a lot, and multiplay is INSANELY fun and easy.

Ugh, it does? Guess I'm playing single player since I don't know any other J-bores that have it.
