I played the Japanese beta way back when, it seemed like a huge cash grab back then but I've heard that it has since improved.  Still, doesn't make best use of the franchise.

It also sucked since I had to type in romanji because you can't type Japanese unless your system is set to it.  Good luck getting any assistance from Japanese players if they suspect you're a foreigner.
