I have to admit I did not touch the original Crysis yet. Hearing the end game falls to complete shit gave me flashbacks of Far Cry. I'll try it out eventually, but it fell off my must play list last year. Having said this, I've been reading the reviews of Crysis Warhead and it looks like Crytek has stripped out all the bad from Crysis and only included the good. Plus the fact the game is only 30 dollars, has better performance than Crysis is making this look like a must buy. Here are some reviews:

Parallel story that takes place during the events of Crysis
-Play as Psycho from the original game
-Shorter single player campaign, but with levels that take inspiration from the fantastic Assault and Onslaught from the first game
-Includes every bit of multiplayer content from the first game in addition to new maps, and with everything tweaked to make it more balanced, and make Power Struggle easier to get in to.
I played Warhead on a high-end machine with a quad core CPU and the latest Nvidia graphics card at high resolution (1680x1050) with all the details set to Enthusiast, which is essentially very high. It looked cutting edge and the frame rate was solid. Next, I checked the game on a slightly older PC with a two-year old 8800GTS and I was still able to crank it to Enthusiast settings and the same resolution and get solid results. Finally, I checked it out on the "$700 PC" that Crytek and EA have been touting. It really is a $700 machine built on the latest mainstream parts (the video card is a 9800GT), and I was able to play the final boss battle at the same resolution and at Enthusiast settings and get solid frame rates. I also tried it the Gamer setting, which is essentially high, and the frame rate was buttery smooth. You do lose some visual quality stepping down from Enthusiast, but even at Gamer Warhead still looks better than almost every game out there.

I have a 20 dollar reward zone certificate coming, and I think I will spend it towards this!

game is garbage
-
well my new computer should be able to play it on enthusiast from the way it sounds
-
I'll get it :gun :rock

For sure. I probably will buy it before I play TFU since it is only 5 hours.

I love the fact you can finish the game in 5 to 7 hours! I would rather pay 30 bucks for a 6 hour shooter than 60 for a 12 hour shooter. I don't lose interest in the game then!
I've replayed HL episode 1 and HL episode 2 multiple times so you can run through them in 4 to 6 hours!

Crysis is one of the best FPSs ever made. The endgame doesn't "fall apart" nearly as bad as Far Cry's did. The zero-G spaceship part does drag on a little, because sometimes it's hard to tell which direction you're supposed to be going, leading to you floating around a room for 10 minutes looking for the exit.
After that part ends, they try to keep it fresh by throwing in all these "special" segments that weren't just "walk forward, kill area full of Trigens aliens, walk forward, kill another area, etc." These segments were kinda mediocre and boring though, even if they were different.

I am probably going to be getting the Warhead PC, if it ever comes out, so I will definitely play this game.

Yes. I can't wait. Looks awesome.

You can pre purchase on steam now.
It truly is amazing the type of beast steam has become. Major 3rd parties can't ignore it. You can almost consider it a platform of sorts for PC gaming. 15 million people on steam? Crazy.
EA are stingy fucks though. No pre purchase discount for buying them both together. At least you don't have to pay five dollars to be able to download the game again over the next two years! :lol
