Some correlations at the state level
Extraversion is correlated with robbery and murder rates.
Agreeableness is negatively correlated with robbery and murder rates and positively correlated for life expectancy. (Correlation remain nearly identical when controlled for income, race, education, population density)
Conscientiousness is negatively correlated with social involvement, the arts, and life expectancy.
Neuroticism is significantly correlated with heart disease and cancer. It is negatively correlated with exercising, life expectancy, and the arts
Openness is significantly correlated with robbery and murder rates, liberal values (legalization of marijuana, abortion, same sex marriages), and the arts.
